Massive massive thank you for going out of your way to help. Abi

We are really pleased with our purchase. We got engaged at the top of Scafell Pike last year and have been looking since for something special to remind us of this occasion. Cassie

I read about your maps in TGO, the reason for getting the old man map, its a present for my daughter and her fiancé as he proposed to her when they reached the top of the Old Man, also pleased that you are donating part of the proceeds to mountain rescue. I have received the map, it looks good. Satwant

My family saw your designs along the wall of our orthodontist in Witney...he had the whole of the lake district!! We all climbed Snowdon over half term with another family so I bought us one each to remember the achievement. Much appreciated by both! Liz

I heard about Wapentac in TGO magazine this month and purchased the Three Sisters as a gift for a friend. It's a place we've done a lot of climbing and the poor sod is living in Leeds these days.... Thanks for the map, it looks brilliant! Wanted to keep it for myself when it arrived. Dougie

I saw your website mentioned in The Great Outdoors magazine, although their interest was your 3D maps (which also look interesting). I chose the rose for a birthday present.  I think it looks fantastic! Paul

Thanks for the prompt dispatch. It is a present for my dad, my parents had seen your maps I think at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and he had said that he liked them. Were you to extend your range to include any other Scottish mountains (which is where he does most of his hill walking), then I think he may well like those as well! Lisa

It was a pleasure to meet you and I’m very impressed with your work! I’m delighted I won something (I never win anything!!) – a pleasant change! Jonathan

I bought three Wapenmaps as gifts last year (all very well received). I have bought the Linum (botanical illustration) as a gift (although now I have seen it up close I'll be ordering for myself too). David

We saw your Wapenmaps at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park shop and thought they looked really good, but then remembered that we had also seen them in Trail magazine. In the end I googled them and was very glad to see you had online shop on your
a website. We chose the 3 Peak Challenge Wapenmap as we live in Yorkshire so do the 3 Peaks of Yorkshire regularly. Plus we liked the fact that it shows all 3 peaks on one map. We would love to have more Wapenmaps as there are so many good ones and it was very difficult to choose but in the end we chose Snowdon as this is also a favourite walk of ours and we thought that it would look great when raised to show all the different contours. We are very pleased with our purchases. Amanda

Thanks for your quick response. I saw you at the Galvanize Sheffield event in the Sheffield Millennium Galleries (in March I think?). I love your work, it is very beautiful. I think I'll order one that you already do as I need it for a wedding present and the Blencathra one is really good for my friends. I might also order a Botanical one, if they're on the website - I'll be having a browse later! If I think of any places that would be good to add to the range, I'll let you know and I'll tell my friends about you whenever I can - I think lots of outdoor people would love your work. Anna

Received with thanks for speedy delivery. Joyce

I heard of Wapentac through the Peak Products catalogue, which I picked up at Rooke's Pottery at the end of a walk up Dovedale on Saturday. I instantly thought that Wapenmaps would appeal to my husband, hence the enquiry. All the best with your business, and I will indeed be keeping an eye on the website! Heather

I saw Wapentac mentioned in the Peak District Products booklet. I bought Monsal Trail as a gift for a friend who is a big walker but we are also planning to purchase one for ourselves in the near future. I think the idea is excellent but I wondered if you considered doing larger versions either covering a bigger area or same are to a larger scale. Mark

I read about Wapentac in the FT weekend magazine and bought it for my husband who loves both walking and maps. Mila

How I found your site: I'm a bit of a beginning map enthusiast and had seen some work done by some map artists that was displayed either first on boingboing.net but then also on http://www.mcwetboy.net/maproom/ where I found a link or review on your product.  MAN! how do you do it?! I would pay for instructions and materials to make a  wapenmap of my home mountain Mt. Tamalpais (rough pronunciation: TAM - ull - PIE - iss Tam for short tho) in Marin County, California. Any way we could make that happen? Tell the team that your work is greatly appreciated and AWESOME and look for my order closer to March. Tristan, Marin County, CA

I was given a Three Peaks Wapentac by my girlfriend for Christmas (who had first seen them at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park). I thought it was great so have bought the Helvellyn one as a present for a friend. I chose Helvellyn because we once had a great walk along the ridge of hills south from Keswick, culminating in Helvellyn and then a wild camp around Grisedale Tarn. I should think personal attachments like that would be the most popular reason for buying one. Tom

I've just finished the Ben Nevis Wapenmap relief that I was given as a Christmas present. Very satisfying, and set me thinking about the times I climbed "The Ben". If you are looking for some further Scottish suggestions, how about Schiehallion (maybe too simple a shape), Ben Lomond, Ben More & Stobinian, Ben Vorlich & Stuc a' Chroin, to name but a few. Or as something that would appeal to a broad group of Edinburgh residents and visitors, how about Arthur's Seat & Salisbury Crags, done at 1:25,000 and with narrower contour intervals.  Ken

The Ben Nevis Wapenmap arrived fine, thanks for the prompt dispatch. It is a present for my dad, my parents had seen your maps I think at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and he had said that he liked them. Were you to extend your range to include any other Scottish mountains (which is where he does most of his hill walking), then I think he may well like those as well!   Lisa

'My father has done a lot of walking over the years and one of his last big ones in the UK to tick off was Scafell, having done Scafell Pike before he thought it was time to set off. Needless to say the day did not go to plan as his brother has troubles on the fell. A long worrying night ensued with no further info on the missing group, phone out of reach etc. No further news came and panic set in about 10:00pm. They were finally brought of the fell at 1:00 am by the excellent Wasdale Mountain Rescue team, see below. The maps will be an xmas present framed with the quote below. So he never forgets how he finally achieved Scafell even though it turned out to be a lot worse than first anticipated!'   Michael
10:70 12/10/10 (9.35 p.m.) - Monday
Two walkers, in their early 60's were long overdue on a walk from Scafell (Eskdale side) to Brackenclose.  They did not have a torch and had a medical history.  Around 15 team members attended along with a SARDA (Lakes) Search dog.  The missing couple were quickly located by Search dog Ollie at the old Peat Hut ruins on the saddle between Burnmoor Tarn and Brackenclose, Wasdale.  They were assisted off the fell.  Incident closed around 1.00 p.m.

'One of my colleagues bought one last year and I've been meaning to get one for a while. I chose those particular ones as presents for my Dad who is in a care home.  Near the base of Pen-y-ghent is where the HQ of the pothole club my Dad belongs to is, so he spent a lot of time there, with friends and family.  Also, Hawes is where the Wensleydale Cheese Shop is, again, somewhere my dad used to take me as a little girl before he became ill.  Any of the Yorkshire Dales ones would have been perfect, and I hope to buy some more.  If there are plan for an Ingleborough one, I would definitely buy this for him without a doubt.'   Emma

‘I bought 3 Peaks as it is a gift for my sister who just did the 3 Peaks. They are lovely, but I have never seen them anywhere else - you should get them into more shops!’    Alison

‘We read about you in the weekend FT magazine, and we chose Scafell Pike because we walk that area every year, and always climb Scafell whatever the weather, and also love "the horseshoe" with Great Gable, Kirkfell, Lingmell etc.
The Wapenmap is quite beautiful - I'm giving it to my teenage son for his birthday - do you have plans to do larger versions in the future? Please do keep us posted!  We think you are very very clever!’   Emma

‘Thank you. I really appreciate this exceptional customer service.’    Keith

‘The Ben Nevis one looks great on my wall. Great purchase. Still have the the Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa to "open out". Wow - aren't those tiny magnetics powerful - beyond belief!! (I'd recommend including a warning about them - they're so easily lost when they fly about under the influence of each other! - I found them again in the end with the benefit of another magnet - lol!) I've passed on your website details to an ex-employer of mine who might like to order a large bespoke display for their reception area.’   Vaughan

‘The steel card is highly unusual and will make a lovely gift for my OH.  Although, to be honest, I bought it because it will inspire me to walk up Hellvelyn again later this year, having slowly recuperated from arthritis in the last 2.  (I expect you don't mind hearing personal stories around your cards.) Anyway, thank you for your interest and keep up the good work.’   Dani

‘I heard about the Wapenmap / Wapentac on the Outdoors Station Podcast where you were interviewed at the Outdoors Show (http://www.backpackinglight.co.uk/page116.asp ). Your website has good photos of them so it was an easy decision.’   Mark

‘I saw Wapentac maps at a craft fair at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton a few weeks ago. I have bought Helvellyn as a xmas present for a friend who lives in the Lake District. His wife said that this was his favourite. Thanks very much for the excellent delivery.’   Bridget

'I am very pleased with the Buttermere & Haystacks Wapenmap thank you. I found it a little tricky to do at first because I was frightened of exerting too much pressure on it in case I broke it, but it's very strong! It's completed and looks great!'    Jane

'Thank you. My husband and I plan to walk the Three Peaks Wapenmap in June.'    Kate

'I read about Wapenmap in the FT Weekend magazine. We are keen walkers and I bought it for a friend. I like it a lot.'    Liz

'The Blencathra Wapenmap arrived safely, thank you, and my husband was very pleased with his birthday card.'    Susan

'Thanks for the speedy processing of my order. The Wapenmap has been bought as a gift for a walking friend, I already own a Wapenmap that was bought for me as a gift. I first saw them as gift ideas in Trail magazine and loved the idea.'    Matthew

'Can't tell you how thrilled, amazed, delighted, etc etc we are with the revelation of Wapenmap and Wapentac to us....... a super card is  a tremendous start... it seems that there are massive possibilities out there.'    Pat & Alan

'Wapenmap arrived 3 days after order, thank you. It’s very interesting. I’m thinking of getting it mounted on a block of wood.  The product was featured in the January issue of Trail magazine.'   Jill

'Wapenmap is fabulous and quite unique = my hubby will love it.'    Kirsty

'I read about Wapentac in Trail magazine, its brilliant as got present ideas for next few birthdays and Christmas's! Thanks'    Joanne
